In this heartfelt video, see why the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will mark September’s Blood Cancer Awareness Month with “Light the Night” events nationwide.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) will host its 2016 Annual Gala on Sept. 28 in New York City.

“Imagine, if every time a patient saw a light in a dark moment they felt the warmth of millions of supporters cheering them to a victory against cancer.”

Light the Night aims to raise awareness of blood cancers and to show patients, families, and caregivers that there is hope, that people are there to support them, and that the LRF is working tirelessly on research for treatments and finding a cure.

The Greater Bay (California) Area Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will kick off its 2016 Light the Night Walk fundraising campaign on Sept. 24.
