Barbourville, Kentucky resident Cameron Mills is recovering from treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has gotten in the way of one of her favourite hobbies: shopping. This year for her 16th birthday, the board members of the Lexington Dream Factory decided to help make the day extra special by taking her on a shopping spree.
According to a report from wymt.com, Cameron was able to visit her favourite stores and pick out clothing and accessories and then was treated to a surprise birthday party. The Lexington Dream Factory works to provide wishes for sick children in Kentucky. They were surprised to get Cameron’s request since most recipients prefer to travel rather than have their dream come true in their local town.
