One Direction star Louis Tomlinson’s mother Johannah Deakin has lost her fight with leukemia. The 43-year-old had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease earlier in the year and sadly passed away last week. Tomlinson honored his pre-arranged appearance on the finale show of the British X-Factor–the show that made him famous and took the opportunity to sing his latest single “Just Hold On” as a tribute to his mother. Find out more here.
Johannah was a midwife and leaves behind her husband Dan and seven children: Louis (24), Lottie (18), Félicité (16), Daisy and Pheobe (12), and Ernest and Doris (two). She was also a grandmother to Louis’ son, Freddie. As well as working full-time, Johannah campaigned for numerous charities.
That was harder than I ever imagined. I want to thank everyone around me and all of the amazing fans out there that made that so special!— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) December 11, 2016
