Zack Smith, a University of Florida student, was determined to help his local town’s homeless people.
Zack was inspired to start his own organization after working in homeless shelters and witnessing an overcrowded and difficult environment
Smith and Brendon Martin, his roommate who are both 20-years-old, founded a UF student organization for the Gainesville’s homeless community: A Reason to Give.
However, just as they started developing the idea, Smith was diagnosed with stage three Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
But even against all odds, Zack didn’t stop.
