As reported in The Mighty, the account was set up by 26-year-old Kellie Patricia in 2015. Patricia knows what it’s like to live with numerous chronic illnesses and wanted to use her experiences with diseases such as endometriosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease to help fellow sufferers realize they’re not alone and to hopefully bring a smile to their face.

Here are some examples of the memes featured on Patricia’s Chronic Illness Memes page.

More questions than answers arise. It's a complicated situation!???? "Like" this if you can relate! Feel free to share with your friends or tag someone who understands the struggle! It's never easy canceling plans because of how your body is feeling. It's even harder having to miss out on special events and occasions because of something that's out of your control, but don't be so hard on yourself. Take time to rest, relax, and nurture yourself. Take time for you when you need it the most.❤️ TAG a friend who understands the struggle or REPOST to share with others! #spooniestrong #chronicillnessmemes #memes #chronicillness #chronicpain #autoimmune #disease #spoonie #support #awareness #invisibleillness #advocate #endo #crohns #ibd #scoliosis #arthritis #sickness #health #humor #flares #POTS #endometriosis #chronicmigraines #fibro #symptoms #endosisters #raredisease #GI #cancelingplans
