Last October, Australian soccer star Tim Cahill donated his match appearance fee ($6500) to Joe Lynch – a young man fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma – who needed help funding his therapy.
He also encouraged everyone else to contribute to the $800,000 fundraising campaign Lynch needed for a potentially curative early stage clinical trial. See the original tweet below.
The star has been leading a movement within Australian football to help Joe Lynch achieve his goal since Lynch had exhausted all other treatment options available in Australia.
