Andy Whitfield was an actor best known for his leading role in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. In March 2010, Andy was diagnosed with a cancer – non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Right after he got his diagnosis, the warrior from Spartacus started his treatment in New Zealand. Not knowing what would happen with his life and fight against cancer, Andy decided to invite someone to follow him and record everything in his journey as he explores several healing options in Australia, New Zealand and India.
Unfortunately, in September 2011, just a little over a year after being diagnosed, Whitfield lost his battle with lymphoma, but as a result of his idea he left behind an incredible documentary about his battle with lymphoma. Watch some bits of his documentary, “Be Here Now”.
