#TBT – Gene Wilder Talks about Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

Jerome Silberman, also known as Gene Wilder (born June 11, 1933), is an American screen and stage comic actor, screenwriter, director, author, and activist.

Known because of his roles in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (which generated a famous meme),  Young Frankenstein, The Producers and Richard Pryor: Silver Streak, Wilder was hospitalized with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1999.

In March 2005, he found the cancer was in complete remission following chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.
